Greek street-food outlet turned London restaurant fave The Athenian is loved for its signature souvlaki wraps and homemade sauces. While they waited to reopen to its customers this spring, its co-founder Tim Vasilakis live-streamed weekly Greek cooking classes on Instagram, every Saturday morning. You can now enjoy, on-demand, an archive of 9 of those classes. Efthymios and Neofytos, two Londoners born and raised in Athens and Cyprus, launched The Athenian in London at the end of 2014, as a small street food venture offering freshly made souvlaki prepared in the healthiest, most authentic way possible. Greece was going through a difficult period at the time, and they wanted to help put the country in a positive light and prove that Greece and its people are full of ideas and creativity. Up to that point Greek cuisine was being somewhat misrepresented outside of Greece, and with their cooking, they have already changed that with their popular restaurant, The Athenian.
